I just watched this episode of Worst Ex Ever on Netflix. I watched the first season, I think it’s really good and an eye opener. Then I was surprised to see that they released an episode about Wade Wilson, the “Dead pool” killer. I’ve watched a lot of videos about him on Youtube as well as his trials and finally his sentencing, in 2025. He has intrigued me and let’s be honest, he isn’t a bad looking guy, right ? Looks really just aren’t everything. Sometimes there is something much darker hiding behind that pretty look. I really like watching true crime on Youtube and crime documentaries. This one was a bit intriguing because he called himself Wade Wilson, like the Deadpool character and actually also changed his name.

If you don’t know who this guy is, his name is Wade Steven Wilson and as of today, he is 31 years old. He is a criminal convicted of the 2019 murders of two women, Kristine Melton and Diane Ruiz. Due to sharing the name of the Marvel character Wade “Deadpool” Wilson, Wilson has been referred to in the media as the “Deadpool Killer”, giving him fame, where none is needed. That’s the media for you, creating an image for a killer to embellish their stories, make it more interesting and appealing to viewers.

Wilson was sentenced to death in 2024 after being found guilty of first-degree murder, among other charges. Prior to the murders, Wilson had a criminal history dating back to 2012, including convictions for burglary, grand theft, and firearms offenses. On October 7, he committed two murders within 2 hours.

Wilson was born to teenage parents, shortly after, adopted by Steve and Candace Wilson, and raised in Tallahassee, Florida. As a young boy, he was described as troubled, involved in minor criminal activities and substance abuse. I’m not sure what kind of parenting this boy had, but it probably wasn’t the best, for this young man to turn out this way. Not much can be found about his adopting parents though and he never really talks about them either. I believe that the person we become later in life, is highly influenced by the way our parents raised us as children. I see it all the time when I read about murderers who had very troubled childhoods and were abused, physically, emotionally or mentally. It takes a big toll on a child and leaves a lifetime of scarring and mental problems that are hard to deal with, but no abuses can excuse taking the life of a human. Our life is our own, it’s precious.

He allegedly also suffered 4 concussions as a young kid, that he claimed contributed to his mood swings. Instead of getting the proper help, he chose to let his feelings get the best of him, but did his concussion made him make poor decisions ? Did it make him abuse drugs ? I don’t think so. Those are personal choices he made, his own personal decisions. For people like him who live a life committing crimes, it usually doesn’t end up well for them unfortunately. He started getting in trouble with the law in 2012 when he was involved in burglary, assault, firearm offenses. A year later he was sentenced to prison for grand theft, spending almost a year incarcerated. In 2015 he faced charges of sexual battery, kidnapping. In 2018 he went to jail again for stealing firearms. In February 2019, his former girlfriend Kelly, reported an incident in which he allegedly assaulted and choked her. Although she initially accused him of kidnapping and rape, investigators did not pursue these charges due to a lack of evidence and an existing no-contact order. On July 1, 2019, Wilson was arrested again for battery.

You have this pattern here. These criminals never stop until they kill someone. They commit petty crimes, then more serious ones, get a slap on the wrist, go to jail for a couple of days, gets out, rinse and repeat. I think our justice system is really messed up and there would be less crimes if punishment were a lot more harsh to begin with. In other countries, this guy would’ve had much more serious sentences, but here in the United States, they commit crimes over and over, and are released until they murder someone. It’s a vicious cycle and some laws need to change to protect people better.

This is what led me to writing this. This interview where his girlfriend accused him of kidnapping, choking and raping her. She had solid proofs through pictures, but when Wade was brought in for an interview, it became a huge, whole farce. The investigator really failed this woman and honestly, I don’t know why he is even working with cases like Kelly. This short clip will show how the interview went. It’s appalling, infuriating, frustrating and disgusting. Detective Potter, completely falls under this guy’s charm, siding with him, agreeing with him, being fooled by him, making friends with him.

Starting the interview calling him :”Brother” after a woman showed up for help, against this very guy who assaulted her, raped her, choked and almost killed her.

Detective Potter : I have to believe you.

What kind of nonsense is this question after pictures of Kelly, bruised, bloodied were documented ?
Wade Wilson denies everything he did of course, being a manipulative liar, with a long sheet of crimes, yet is absolutely taken seriously by Detective Potter.

Detective Potter : “That’s all I need to hear.” Can you believe this !? This just left me speechless.

Detective Potter goes :” You know that and I know that. You know ?”

Wow ! What kind of interview is this ?

Detective Potter :” I’m not doubting you man. You’re doing great. You’re a smart man. You’re on the right track.“

Wait, what !?

Detective Potter: ” She wants this to go quickly because there is an ulterior motive. Which sucks because she is my victim.(Yeah let’s not forget that ?) “So I got to give her 100% of my abilities.” (Which you just failed to do !) But I ain’t putting the wrong man in jail. I’ll be damned if I do that. (WOW… absolutely unbelievable, disgusting) That will never happen from this department. (Well aren’t you a little corrupted, not fit, to properly do your job. I wonder how Mr. Potter feels about the two innocent women that were murdered because of this lunatic, Wade ?

Detective Potter proceeds to continue flattering this savage killer’s ego.

– None of our people are gonna do that. (Putting the right man in jail for assault, battery, attempted kidnapping, rape.)

Watch the infuriating and failed interview from Mr Potter and Wade Wilson after Kelley Matthews filed a police report for assault, battery, attempted kidnapping and rape. They did a DNA swab on Wade Wilson, but then it was never used and the case was closed. That interview really made me mad. Had Mr Potter done his job properly, Wade Wilson would have gone to prison for a longer time and maybe not have the chance to kill the two women that were murdered by him not that long after. I wonder how Mr Potter felt about his failure to get Wade arrested during his interview ? It makes me sick that people fail at their job like this and get away with it. This is, right there, the perfect example of why women are scared to come forward when they are assaulted. Because of men like Mr Potter, who don’t take them seriously, despite photo evidence and statements. Yes they have been bad apples, there always will be, who falsely accuse men of assault and it’s not true, but there are far more women who have been assaulted and are not taken seriously. It’s a shame really when a detective is led on by a charismatic young man and doesn’t believe the real victim despite proofs being there and a little research about this Wade, would’ve gone a long way. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s office suspended Mr Potter for 2 weeks instead of three and guess what ? He still works there as of May 2026. Let’s not be surprised if he fails other women coming to this detective for help.

The only person that didn’t fail Wade and enabled him was his birth father who turned him in to the police. Then this psychopath, Wade, proceeds to proudly talk about what he did to his victims, to the investigators, after his arrest. How does someone feel no empathy at all for killing people or animals ? It really is nothing to be proud of to harm innocent people or animals. We all knows these psycho always start with hurting animals who can’t fight back because it gives them a sense of power. This narcissist, talks about using his good look to get women in bed and kill them. It’s kind of ironic how he mentioned during his interview, and lucid enough while on drugs, to know what he was doing and how he felt. :”I’m so crazy when I’m on drugs that the rage overcome me, I’m not thinking properly. What comes across my mind is murder” Trying to feed the investigators the reason why he acted the way he did and knowing well enough he wants to murder someone. Yeah… it doesn’t work like that buddy. The drugs made me do it… sure.

What is even more sick, is those hundreds of women writing him letters, calling him, putting money in his commissary, not having one thought for his victims. Then the media started worshipping this psychopath by giving him even more fame, talking about him all over the news, giving him attention and boosting his ego. Dear lord, what kind of world are we living in, for people to react this way and give a murderer so much fame and attention ? What is it with people encouraging this ? In 2026, we are giving more attention to abusers, than the victims. A petition was even started to get him off the death penalty so he could continue to call and talk to all these women infatuated by a murderer of two innocents women who unfortunately, happened to cross his path, but never mind the victims in all this.
